Foundation Stone laying ceremony of Health Post in Kapilvastu, Nepal

     The Foundation Stone for the construction of Pathardaiya Health Post in Bijayanagar Rural Municipality-3, Kapilvastu in the Lumbini Province of Nepal, was jointly laid today by Mr. Gopal Bahadur Thapa Magar, Chairman of Bijayanagar Rural Municipality and Ms. Garima Nautiyal, Second Secretary, Embassy of India, Kathmandu.

 

2.     The Health Post is being built with Government of India’s financial assistance of Nepali Rupees 17.5 million approximately. This High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), will be implemented through the Bijayanagar Rural Municipality, Kapilvastu.  

 

3.    The Chairman of Bijayanagar Rural Municipality and other stakeholders appreciated the developmental support being provided by the Government of India, and expressed confidence that the new facility would help promote better access to healthcare services in Bijayanagr Rural Municipality. 

 

4.    As close neighbours, India and Nepal are engaged in wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation. The implementation of HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in strengthening the efforts of the Government of Nepal in promoting growth and development, apart from augmenting infrastructure in priority sectors.
