The eligible candidates may apply online for ITEC courses by following the procedure given below:

STEP-I: Applying online on ITEC portal
1. Go to the link www.itecgoi.in. Then click on orange button placed  on right hand top most corner.
2. Click on “Apply for ITEC”. On clicking this tab, three more links viz. “How to Apply”, “Terms & Conditions” and “Apply now” will appear on the screen. The applicant should open the links How to Apply as well as Terms & Conditions and read it very carefully before proceeding further.
3. Now click on Apply for ITEC - “Apply now”.
4. Choose the Stream of the course to apply
5. A list of Institutes will be  displayed,  select  the  institute  which  is organizing the course.
6. List of courses under chosen Institutes will be displayed with apply button. Click on the „Apply‟ button against the chosen course and  further select the nationality and click on „Proceed‟ button. Now fill in all the details.
7. After completing the form and checking all the entries, finally submit the application by clicking on „Submit‟ tab.
8. Applicant should fill in all entries online carefully.
9. The applicants will also be asked to choose the email ID, which would be used by the system to update the applicants about status of their applications. It is, therefore, important that correct and valid e-mail address should be given while filling in the application form.
10. It may be noted that rows of any table given in the application form can be increased/decreased by pressing +/x sign given at the extreme right of each table.
11. After final submission of the application form, a link will be sent to the candidate‟s e-mail ID (given by the candidates while applying for the course) by 
the ITEC team for activating his/her account. This link will be carrying the Password also.
12. After submission of the application, the applicants are required to login the website using their credentials and to click on „My Application‟ link in the left panel. Then click on Print button and save the application form.

Step –II: Print out of Application and completion of certificates enclosed with the application form:
1. Following the activation of the account, and submission of online application, the applicant is required to take a printout of the application form using his/her credentials i.e. e-mail ID and Password.
2. The applicant will also get four (4) blank forms as part of the application form, which includes (a) English Proficiency, (b) Medical Report, (c) Undertaking by the Applicant and (d) Nomination. HOD/senior officers of the Ministry/department where the applicant is working can ascertain the English proficiency of the applicant in the „English Proficiency Form‟ and can also nominate the applicant for the course by duly filling and attesting the
Nomination form. Undertaking will be filled and signed by the  applicant himself. „Medical Report‟ is to be filled by the Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP). The applicants are advised to read all this forms carefully.
3. After completion of these procedural requirements, the print out of the application form along with duly filled and signed (in original) English Proficiency, Medical Report, Undertaking and Nomination forms are to be submitted to the Education Wing of the Indian Embassy, Kathmandu or Consulate General of India, Birgunj personally by the applicant.
4. ITEC Section of the Embassy informs the applicant about time date and venue of submission of print out of the application form with other documents.

STEP –III: Physical verification of Documents /Interview:
On receiving e-mail from the Embassy/Consulate, the  applicants are required to visit the Embassy/Consulate in the given date and time for physical 
verification of the documents.  The  following  documents  are  mandatorily required to be presented/submitted for physical verification:-
i) Print   out of application   submitted   on   the   ITEC   Portal   (all   the columns of application i.e. HoD undertaking, self  undertaking,  Medical,  and English Proficiency should be duly filled and attested by the Concerned Authorities).
ii) Proof of Citizenship (original and photocopy).
iii) Passport (original and photocopy).
iv) Graduation Certificates (original and photocopy).
v) Vaccination Certificate (original and photocopy).
vi) Current Work Experience Certificate (original) and previous work experience certificates (original and photocopy).

PLEASE NOTE:

1.Kindly apply minimum 4 weeks prior to start date of the course to enable the embassy to complete the procedural requirements in time.
2.Neither send the application by Post nor drop it in the drop box of the Mission as the application form is required to be  submitted  at  the  time  of physical verification of the documents.
3.It  may  be  noted  that  interview/  physical   verification   of   documents does not ensure the selection of the applicant for the course.
4.Participants/Alumni of any scholarship programme funded by Government of India (including ITEC) are not eligible to apply for further ITEC courses.
