Foundation stone laying ceremony of High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) in Rupandehi, Lumbini Province, Nepal

Foundation stone for the construction of Nayagaun Secondary School Building, Butwal-12, Butwal Sub Metropolitan City, Rupandehi was jointly laid today by Mr. Suman Shekhar, First Secretary, Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and Mr. Khel Raj Pandey, Mayor, Butwal Sub Metropolitan City, Rupandehi.

2.    The School Building of Nayagaun Secondary School is being built with Government of India’s financial assistance of around NRs.44 million. 

3.    The new infrastructure to be built will comprises two double storied school buildings with classrooms, toilets and other allied facilities. The project has been taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), and will be implemented through the Butwal Sub Metropolitan City, Rupandehi.  

4.    Mayor, Butwal Sub Metropolitan City, School Management and other stakeholders appreciated the developmental support being provided by the Government of India. 

5.    As close neighbours and development partners, India and Nepal  have wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation. The implementation of the HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in reinforcing the efforts of the Government of Nepal in achieving growth and development.
