Foundation stone laying ceremonies of High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) in Sindhupalchowk, Bagmati Province, Nepal
Foundation stones for the construction of two Health Post Buildings at Ward No.3 and Ward No.6 of Indrawati Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk District, were jointly laid today by Mr. Jhamka Nath Nepal, Chairman, Indrawati Rural Municipality and Shri Narayan Singh, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Kathmandu.
2. Health Post Buildings at Ward No. 3 and at Ward No. 6 of Indrawati Rural Municipality are being built with Government of India’s total financial assistance of NRs.40 million approximately.
3. These Health Posts will have two-storeyed buildings with suitable facilities. These projects have been taken up as High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs), and will be implemented through the Indrawati Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk.
4. Chairman, Indrawati Rural Municipality and other stakeholders appreciated the development support being extended by the Government of India. They expressed confidence that the new health infrastructure created would help enhance accessibility to health services in the region.
5. As close neighbours, India and Nepal are engaged in wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation. The implementation of HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in bolstering the efforts of the Government of Nepal in achieving growth and development, apart from augmenting infrastructure in priority sectors.
