General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff, IA calls on Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr K P Sharma Oli

Gen Upendra Dwivedi called on the Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal,                             Mr K P Sharma Oli at Singha Durbar.  He was accompanied by Ambassador of India, Defence Attaché of India and other delegation members.  Gen Upendra Dwivedi said that it was a privilege to be conferred the Honorary rank of General of Nepali Army.  He also discussed issues related to further strengthening the excellent bilateral cooperation between both the countries and armies.  Gen Upendra Dwivedi also called on the Hon’ble Defence Minister of Nepal, to exchange views on the extensive military & bilateral relationships between India and Nepal. Gen Upendra Dwivedi reaffirmed that together we should further strengthen the defence relations between the two countries to new heights.  

Before calling on the Rt Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal, Gen Upendra Dwivedi, COAS IA, visited Nepali Army Command and Staff College at Shivapuri and was warmly welcomed by DGMT, Nepali Army, Maj Gen Dhruba Prakash Shah and the Commandant of Army Command and Staff College, Nepali Army.  Gen Upendra Dwivedi also addressed the student officers of the Army Command and Staff College.
