Concert of world renowned Flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia at Army Auditorium, Bhadrakali on Independence Day
Embassy of India, Kathmandu organized a concert of world renowned Flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia at Army Auditorium, Bhadrakali on 15th August, 2019 on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day of India. Hon'ble Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Health & Population Mr. Upendra Yadav and Hon'ble Foreign Minister of Nepal Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali graced the programme as guests of honour.
The Programme was attended by over 700 persons, covering different walks of life-politicians, artists, musicians, literary persons, students and media. At the Programme, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia was accompanied by Mr. Vivek Sonar on flute, Mrs. Debopriya Ranadive on Flute, Ms. Amrita Uprety on Tanpura and Mr. Subhankar Banarjee on Tabla.
Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia is a world renowned personality in the field of music and his group made this performance an entirely unforgettable experience. He enthralled the audience with his energetic, contemporary and classical portrayal of flute playing which would be remembered by Kathmandu for a long time.
